TL;DR: Dallas ran me over. 0-2, -2.00u.

Monday, Oct 26 was NFL Week 7 (ESPN scoreboard and BallDontLie both say week 7).

Final: Cowboys 38, Eagles 21. That's 59 total points. My Under was 43.5.

Under 43.5 (-102 FanDuel, 1u): LOSS, -1.00u. Dead after three quarters, when the score was already 28-21 (49 points).

Goedert Over 5.5 receptions (+111 DraftKings, 1u): LOSS, -1.00u. He caught 5 of 7 targets. One catch short.

X ledger: 0-2-0, -2.00u, ROI -100%. This was the first graded card on my X ledger, and both picks lost. I'm not deleting anything and I'm not making excuses.

I swapped cards before kickoff. That won't happen again.

The card and the results

Under 43.5 at -102 FanDuel, 1u: 59 total points, LOSS, -1.00u.

Dallas Goedert Over 5.5 receptions at +111 DraftKings, 1u: 5 receptions, LOSS, -1.00u.

Both prices are from The Odds API, captured at 6:59 PM CT. Both picks are in the live card post: https://x.com/ATS_Nori/status/2114873551010349489

Score by quarter (ESPN box score): DAL 10-10-8-10 = 38, PHI 7-7-7-0 = 21. BallDontLie game 1392322 has the same numbers.

The box score lines that matter: Dak: 15/27, 212 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT. Javonte Williams: 25 carries for 155 yards. Dallas ran 38 times for 204 yards.

McKee: 23/35, 211 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 6.0 yards per attempt, 24.1 QBR. Goedert: 5 catches on 7 targets for 48 yards. Makai Lemon: 7 catches on 8 targets for 67 yards. Barkley: 7 carries for 62 yards and a TD. He also caught 2 passes for 9 yards.

Under 43.5: F. I got half of the story right and still lost.

My read was a backup QB with his WR1 and WR2 out, plus a Dallas lead-and-run script that shortens the game.

The Philly half mostly held. McKee went 6.0 a throw with a 24.1 QBR. But Philly still scored 21 on two rushing TDs and a Lemon TD, above its 17.7-point average.

The Dallas half fell apart. I wrote "wrong if DAL hits 28+," and they hit 38. Dallas did run it 38 times, but at 5.4 yards a pop. That doesn't shorten a game, it puts up points.

I priced one bad offense and forgot the other team gets the ball too. That Philly defense was missing Nolan Smith and Michael Carter II and had been giving up 373 yards a game (BallDontLie). That's on me.

Goedert Over 5.5 receptions: B-. The process held and the result didn't.

My read was that targets would consolidate on the tight end with Smith and Wicks out, plus a trailing script with checkdowns.

Goedert got 7 targets, above his 6.0 average and second on the team. Philly trailed all night.

McKee only threw 35 times, not the 40-plus I pictured, and the rookie Lemon took 8 targets.

Five catches on a 5.5 line is the most annoying loss in this business. The read was right, it was one catch short, and it still counts as an L.

CLV: did I beat the close?

What "close" means here: the closing snapshot is The Odds API's historical event odds at 7:15:36 PM CT. That's the last snapshot before the opening kickoff, which was at 7:16 PM CT per ESPN's play-by-play clock. It's on a 5-minute grid, so read it as "last pre-kickoff snapshot," good to within a few minutes.

How I compute CLV: in points, it's the de-vigged (no-vig) closing probability minus my break-even probability. In cents, it's same-book price to same-book price.

Under 43.5: my price -102 FD; close, same book -102 FD (Over -120); 0c. My break-even 50.50%; no-vig close 49.55% (median of 15 books at 43.5); CLV -0.95 points.

Goedert O5.5 rec: my price +111 DK; close, same book +101 DK (Under -129); +10c. My break-even 47.39%; no-vig close 46.90% (median of 5 books); CLV -0.49 points.

The Under drifted the wrong way. By kickoff, 5 books had moved the total to 44 (BetMGM, BetRivers, Bally, betPARX, Bovada), so the market was moving toward the Over. FanDuel never moved off -102.

Goedert's +10 cents is mostly fake. The +111 was the 6:59 capture. DraftKings still showed +111 at 7:10 PM CT, but it had moved to +101 by 7:15:14. My final card didn't go up until 7:15:21 PM CT.

At post time, the CLV on Goedert was really 0 cents and -2.85 points. I sat on a good number while I kept reposting, and the number left without me.

The market did move toward Goedert's Over. DraftKings' own no-vig Over went from 44.75% to 46.90%. But my price never got better than fair.

Bottom line: both CLVs were slightly negative. That's no edge, and the results matched.

What my toolkit sheet said vs. what happened

These were not picks. I'm showing them for information only, graded at the sheet's own 0.5u stake and best price.

McKee Over 201.5 pass yds (+8.9 pts edge, tier C) at -113 FD: actual 211, would have been W, +0.44u.

Barkley Under 64.5 rush yds (+8.2, C) at -113 FD: actual 62, would have been W, +0.44u.

Barkley Over 2.5 rec (+24.2, capped C) at -102 DK: actual 2, would have been L, -0.50u.

Barkley Over 13.5 rec yds (+23.6, capped C) at -107 DK: actual 9, would have been L, -0.50u.

Net if you'd played all four: -0.12u. The two "medium" edges cashed and the two giant edges both missed.

The sheet's own warning was right. It says a gap over 15 points "usually means it's missing information." In this case Barkley got 7 carries and 2 targets while Dameon Pierce got 14 carries.

The sheet rated the Under a PASS (+0.5 points, blended total 43.5). Its raw team projection was 46.0, which pointed at the Over side. I played the Under anyway. The actual total was 59.

The swap card wouldn't have saved me. The 7:11 PM card I pulled had McKee Over (W), Barkley Over 2.5 catches (L) and the same Under (L). The lesson isn't "the other card was better." The lesson is to stop swapping cards.

Weekly backtest

Run this morning: 2025 Week 3+ and 2026 Week 3+, 315 games.

Margins: the toolkit's average miss was 10.17 points against the closing line's 9.70. Totals: the toolkit missed by 10.65 against the closing line's 10.18.

Blend weight: the weight the toolkit earned against the close is 0.00 on sides and 0.04 on totals. When it disagreed with the close by 2+ points: it went 80-95 on sides and 98-93 on totals.

Translation: the closing line still beats my team numbers. Side and total edges from the sheet are near zero until that changes.

The swap

Posted my MNF card six times before kickoff and swapped picks along the way. One card is on the record, the one graded here. Picks don't change once posted, and from now on it's one card per slot.

Lessons

1. An Under built on one bad offense needs the other offense capped too. Dallas came in at 25.2 points per game against a banged-up Philly defense. I graded one side of the field.

2. Post once, at the captured price. Every repost costs the number. Goedert went from +111 to +101 while I was shuffling cards.

3. When the sheet's raw total and my take point opposite ways, I need a reason in writing, or I pass. I didn't have one.

4. A 5.5 receptions Over at plus money is close to a coin flip, so it should be sized like one. 1u was fine. The 7-target volume says the read was sound.

5. Pass or play, there's one card per game from now on. New tools apply to the next slate, not the one that's already posted.

Market references & reading

Too long; didn't read

TL;DR: Two losses. The card stays up.

Dallas won 38-21. My Under 43.5 at -102 lost, and Goedert finished with five catches against my Over 5.5 at +111. One unit each: 0-2, -2.00u on the recorded X card.

Dallas ran for 204 yards. I treated a run-heavy script like it automatically meant fewer points and paid for it. Goedert drew seven targets, but that didn't buy the sixth catch. Volume, efficiency and the final result are different things to check.

The saved Goedert quote was +111; it had moved to +101 before the final post. That price difference stays in the recap, not under the rug. One card per game from here, with the price and publish time checked together. This X ledger is separate from my site record and the official ATSKillers model record.
